Your Mission
Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, the Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives aimed at attracting and retaining members, as well as promoting CADSI’s events. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging, streamline event processes, and manage sponsorship and partner engagements.
Core Responsibilities
As a CADSI Marketing Specialist, your work will include:
Partner and Sponsorship Management
- Manage vendor relationships and fulfill sponsorship deliverables, including banners, blurbs, and signage for events like CAF Outlooks, Cyber and Digital Outlooks, and international events.
Event and Website Management
- Oversee content updates and backend systems for event sites, coordinate onsite vendor activities, and ensure SEO optimization.
Email Marketing and Promotion
- Plan and execute targeted email campaigns for event promotions, membership drives, and post-event surveys.
Content Creation and Advertising
- Develop visual assets for marketing materials, coordinate digital advertising, and manage paid social media promotions for CADSI events.
Administrative and Budget Management
- Organize and maintain marketing files, manage the CADSIboost program, and assist with budgeting and expense tracking.
Strategic Planning and Analysis
- Contribute to annual marketing strategy, analyze campaign data, support cross-functional projects, and help define CADSI’s mission and values.
Future and Product Implementation
- Support new software rollouts and assist in creating resources to enhance member engagement.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and at least 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, advertising, or public relations.
- Strong writing skills with a keen eye for engaging, accurate, and concise copy across multiple channels.
- Demonstrated ability to creatively present content and adapt tone based on audience and platform.
- Exceptional project management skills and an ability to balance priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Office365 (including SharePoint) is an asset.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) is preferred.
- Bilingualism in English and French, and/or familiarity with the Canadian defence and security industry, are valuable assets.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time, three-year term position with a competitive compensation package – including a competitive salary ($60,000- $70,000 CAD), vacation, health and wellness credits, and professional development opportunities – which will be discussed during the initial interview
