DAVWIRE Selected by De Havilland as Strategic Source Supplier

DAVWIRE (London, ON), joins De Havilland Aircraft of Canada’s (DHC) strategic supply chain for its turboprop firefighting aircraft, the De Havilland Canadair 515 (DHC-515).

The DHC-515 is a modernized version of the world renowned and iconic CL-415 water bomber, which has a rich history in Canada’s Aviation Industry, featuring updated mission systems and improved operational capabilities.

The work has begun in earnest as DAVWIRE begins the Life-of-Aircraft supply contract for the new DHC-515 Water Bomber program. Mark MacKenzie (DAVWIRE, CEO) had this to say, “We are proud to play a role in the modernization of this iconic Canadian aircraft and excited to be part of the team that will provide a unique purpose-built, highly capable aircraft that will combat the growing threat of forest fires in Canada and around the world.” 

DAVWIRE is in its 22nd year of business providing Mechatronic Design and Manufacturing solutions to the Aerospace & Defense industries.
